Cemented Carbide

Cemented Carbide

Cemented carbide has high hardness, wear resistance, strength and toughness, good heat resistance, corrosion resistance and a series of excellent properties, widely used in military, aerospace, machining, metallurgy, oil drilling, mining tools, electronic communications, construction and other fields.
Cemented carbide, a kind of alloy material carefully made by powder metallurgy process, its key components include high hardness, refractory tungsten carbide (WC), titanium carbide (TiC), tantalum carbide (TaC), etc., and cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni) and other binder metals. These components through fine powder, scientific batching, pressing forming, and then through high temperature sintering, and finally formed with excellent properties of cemented carbide.
Carbide with its unique composition and manufacturing process, give it a series of excellent performance characteristics. These features include high hardness, high wear resistance, high thermal stability and good chemical stability. These characteristics make cemented carbide perform well in many applications and become an indispensable material in the industrial field.
The manufacture of cemented carbide involves mixing tungsten carbide with cobalt in a specific proportion, then semi-sintering after pressure forming. This sintering process is usually done in a vacuum furnace at a temperature between 1300 and 1500 degrees Celsius. Sintering molding is to press the powder into a blank, then heated in the sintering furnace to a specific temperature (sintering temperature), and maintained at this temperature for a period of time (holding time), and finally cooled, so as to obtain the desired properties of the cemented carbide.
As a professional manufacturer of high temperature sintering furnace, our company integrates research and development, production, sales and service, and has rich experience in the heat treatment of hard alloy, high-precision temperature control technology, intelligent automatic time management and air flow control system to ensure the hardness and toughness of materials.
